DO I STILL NEED ACCOUNTS FOR THE STREAMING PLATFORMS

Yes, Watch Party is not a hack. The sole purpose of Watch Party is to help synchronize

the playing/pausing on streamed content.

<h4 class="sub-title" data-font="sans-bold">CAN I DISABLE WATCH PARTY TEMPORARILY</h4>

Watch Party is built to not be in your way but, it can be manually disabled by going to
|
|
the Chrome Extensions page (chrome://extensions) and toggling the little blue switch
|
|
next to Watch Party. You can alternatively go to a supported website, then right click
|
|
on the Watch Party icons in toolbar (next to your user icon in the top right of Chrome),
|
|
select "This can read and change site data", and change that to "When you click the
|
|
extension" option. This will require you to click on the icon when you want to activate
|
|
Watch Party.
